The first of today’s Premier League action on Sky Sporst 1 sees Man City play host to Spurs (1.30pm KO) and the draw looks worth a punt at 29/10 with bet365 and BetVictor.
It is a fascinating contest which sees City try to enhance their best attacking home record in the league against a Spurs side who have the best defensive record in the top flight.
The visitors will surely try to keep things as tight as possible, and Andre Villas-Boas men will have been boosted by the news that Vincent Kompany is out of the City line-up.
The Citizens area totally different outfit without him in the side, and have lost seven of the 26 Premier League games that he hasn’t started since the start of 2011-12 (27%), compared to just 13% (8 of 61) when he’s started.
I also think that Spurs would be happy to come away from this with a share of the spoils and 1 point to keep them in the title race, and certainly couldn’t be backing City at odds of 4/6 to come out on top without Kompany at the heart of their defence.
The other bet that appeals in what I am expecting to be a hard fought and tight affair is under 2.5 goals at a top priced 21/20 with BetVictor.
