Premier League leaders Chelsea are not suprisingly a top priced 1/3 to win their home game against Stoke today (5.30pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1), but the match may be harder than the odds suggest and the draw looks a bit of value at 5/1 with Betfred.
The Blues have met Stoke on 15 occasions since the 2008/09 season and won 12 times with the remaining two draws and a defeat coming at the Britannia Stadium.
However, they have drawn three of their last four league games at home, and many of manager Jose Mourinho’s first-team regulars have been busy during the international break.
This could leave them a bit vulnerbale if Stoke bring their A game to the table, and the Potters have done well under Mark Hughes this season.
I think Hughes will go into the game to try and rough-up Chelsea, and his players will certainly be up for the fight.
Stoke are a side that can frustrate, and I can see them playing for the draw.
I certainly couldn’t be backing Chelsea at such prohibitive odds, and the 5/1 on offer with Betfred about the draw looks a tad too big and the value punt.
