Draw worth a wager at 17/4 in Anfield encounter

Liverpool are 2/5 to beat West Brom at Anfield tonight (8pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1), but that is far too short for my liking and the draw looks worth a small wager at 17/4 with bet365 and Boylesports.

The Reds  come into the game on the back of solid 2-2 away draw against title holders Man City, and a similar display should be good enough to see them secure all three points.

However their are some worrying stats as the Reds haven’t beaten any of the other teams in the top half of the Premier League this season (P13 W0 D7 L6) and West Brom have won three of the least four league encounters between the pair having previously lost the first nine.

That suggest that this game may be harder than the odds suggest, and with doubts about Daniel Sturridge making the starting XI for Brendan Rodgers’ men there is now way I could back them at the odds on offer.

He has scored in three of his four Premier League appearances and been very influential in Liverpool’s performances but has been nursing a thigh injury sustained in last week’s draw at the Etihad Stadium.

I think Liverpool are a far better side with him, and although the Baggies have not been in the best of form of late I can see them raising their game and grabbing a share of the spoils in this.
