The big race of the day is the King George at Kempton (3.10) and Dynaste makes plenty of appeal at 4/1 to land the spoils for the David Pipe team.
The gelding was the leading staying novice in Britain last season, winning four times including a runaway success over course and distance in the Felteham on this card 12 months ago.
He also scored in impressive fashion at Aintree when quickening up smartly to easily dispoe of Third Intention by 6 lengths, and ran a cracker on his seasonal reapperance on his first run against the “big boys” when finishing runner-up to Cue Card in the Betfair Chase at Haydock.
The seven-year-old was held-up off the pace that day but made smooth headway to chase the leaders six out and was travelling as strongly as anything three from home.
He then chased the winner approaching the last but could find no extra on the run-in to be beaten 4 1/2 lengths.
It was a cracking effort agianst a race fit rival and he is entitled to come on significantly for the run.
I think that he is capable of turning the tables on Cue Card with that run under his belt, and there is no reason why he should confirm the form with Silvianica Conti and Long Run who finished behind him in third and fourth respectively that day.
The fact that he is a course and distance winner is also a major plus, and this track clearly plays to his strengths judged on the manner of his victory here in the Feltham.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Dynaste (4/1 BetVictor, Hills, Paddy Power, Stan James – BOG)
