Eclair De Guye worth siding with at Warwick

Trainer Lucy Wadham has her team in flying form and Eclair De Guye looks worth a  wager at 9/2 to provide her with another winner in the 2.50 at Warwick today. This five-year-old showed progressive form in three novice hurdles to get a handicap mark, most notably in the last of those when a 10 1/4 length sixth of 13 o Phoenix Way at Plumpton back in January. The runner-up Third Wind is unbeaten in two starts since and landed the Grade 2 EBF Final at Sandown yesterday off a rating of 131. Debestyman, who came fourth, has also gone on to taste success, so that gives the form a solid look. Eclair De Guye was allotted and opening mark of 114 on the back of that and didn’t shape too badly off it when a plugging on fourth to Duarigle in a class 3 over 2m 4f at Sandown. The extra furlong in this looks sure to suit and he has quickly been dropped 2lb to 112. On his aforementioned run at Plumpton that looks exploitable and Eclair De Guye also now drops down into class 4 company in what looks a very winnable contest lacking any real strength in depth.

Daily Sport recommended bet: Eclair De Guye (9/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
