England a tasty bet to beat the Swedes

Fabio Capello is ringing the changes for his England’s friendly against Sweden tonight (8pm KO, Live on ITV 1), but the Three Lions still look a solid bet at 4/5 to triumph.

The Italian is making eight changes in all to the starting XI that beat world champions Spain 1-0 last week, with Jack Rodwell and Kyle Walker set for their first starts.

John Terry and Gary Cahill are also expected to return to the fray, but Daniel Sturridge –  who had been expected to join Bobby Zamora in attack – will begin on the bench.

Goalkeeper Scott Carson, 26, is also being considered for his first cap in three years.

Whatever the final starting line-up this is no easy game for England as Sweden are a well organised outfit who have several danger players including striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He is always difficult to contain and capable of terrorising any defence, and England’s back line will be tested to the full in trying to prevent him getting on the score sheet.

However if they can there must be every chance that they can win this given the current buoyant mood of the squad after they spectacularly beat the odds to sink the Spanish in a game which the bookies mad them no hopers.

The layers, who offered 5/1 for them to beat Spain, are certainly not taking any chances tonight and they are odds-on across the board.

They are as short at 8/11 with many firms, but Hills and Ladbrokes go a standout 4/5 and that looks a bit of value in my eyes.
