Estonia v Ireland – The Preview

Ireland look good value at 7/5 to beat Estonia in the first leg of their Euro 2012 play-off tonight (7.45pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1).

Giovanni Trappioni’s men are 2/5 to qualify for their first major finals since 2002 and will be looking to set down a solid base for Tuesday’s second leg in Dublin.

Many pundits are predicting a draw tonight – a result which Ireland would no doubt be satisfied with.

But they have beaten Estonia 2-0 the last two times they have met, and with Robbie keane always a threat up front I think they will complete the hat-trick.

In fact Estonia have not drawn in their last nine games, winning three and losing six.

I think that Ireland are the better side, and they could not be in any better form going into tonight’s game.

The Boys in Green are now unbeaten in nine games in all competitions (winning six of them) and have only conceded one goal in their last 861 minutes of international football.

That makes them look overpriced at 7/5 on offer with Boylesports and Paddy Power, especially as they are as short as 5/4 for victory with many layers.

I can’t see that price being available come kick-off and the advice is to snap it up.
