London promoter Mick Hennessy has signed Chris Eubank Jnr on a long term agreement via his company Hennessy Sports. Eubank the son on boxing legend and former world champ Chris Eubank will make his long awaited professional debut tomorrow night (Saturday Nov 12th) at Manchester’s Event City on the undercard of Fury v Pajkic which is being shown live on Channel 5 at 9.45pm.
Mick Hennessy told Daily Sport “We are delighted to have signed such a major talent, there was a lot of competition for his signature, not only from other promoters but other broadcasters as well. We believe that Chris Eubank Jnr has the potential to not only become an elite world champion but also transcend boxing and become a major world star on route to the titles.” Mick added “I honesty already believe he is the best middleweight in this country even without have a pro fight.”
In a further twist to the Manchest excitement last night bookie William Hill announced that they’d take 2 bets of £5,000 on Pajkic to be the first man to beat Tyson Fury. This news has left Tyson fans Fury-ous.
