With reports that former WBO Middleweight and Super-Middleweight champ Chris Eubank Snr (45yo) is wanting to return to the ring to face former WBO Middleweight and WBC Super-Middleweight champ Nigel Benn (48yo) in a third fight.
This has come out of the blue even in the world of boxing with some rumouring this could be a contender for the Haye v Chisora underacrd at Upton Park seeing that neither guys has fought for a number of years or is currently licensed by the BBBofC.
Today bookie Ladbrokes were offering odds on the fight of 4/6 Eubank and 6/5 Benn with the draw 16/1 and 8/1 the fight happens before then end of 2012. Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “When it comes to Eubank nothing should surprise us. Should the fight go ahead this year we think he’ll do the business.”
