Quigg meets William Prado in Bolton on Saturday (JUNE 29) and new promoter Eddie Hearn hopes the Bury hot shot will go on to challenge for world honours.
A match with Yoandris Salinas for the vacant WBA super-bantamweight title has been mooted.
Quigg is in contention after last year’s stoppage of Rendall Munroe for the interim WBA title – but fears his world-title chances could be shattered by his nan’s chippy.
Sheila Rowles runs the Brandlesholme Chippy in Bury and Quigg said: “I finish most of my runs near there and it’s a good way to test my self discipline when I have a big fight coming up.

“I do get very tempted to nip in for a bag of chips sometimes.
“It’s not easy, but if I want to win the world title I have to keep walking past the chip shop !
“When I was a kid I used to peel potatoes for my nan when I finished school because my grand dad was too lazy, but that wasn’t really for me !
“Working there made me realise how much I wanted to be a successful boxer.”
