Express a Stellar bet at 10s

Stellar Express is back down to her last winning mark and looks cracking value at 10/1 in the 3.20 at Nottingham.

Mike Appleby’s filly is a really tough sort and is unbeaten in three runs over today’s course and distance.

She landed back-to-back successes at the track in June, on the first occasion beating Rockme Cockney with far more in hand than the 2 1/2 length winning margin suggests off a mark of 75.

The daughter of Royal Applause then gamely made all to readily defy a 6lb rise when beating Negin by 1 1/4 lengths off 81, and although she has not been at her best in five starts since she is now back down to the same mark.

That gives her every chance from a handicapping perspective, especially at her favourite stomping ground.

She is just the type to bounce back, and the booking of Tom Queally certainly catches the eye.

Queally has a 33% strike rate when linking up with Appleby in the past 12 months, winning on two and being placed on two other occasions from just 6 rides.

That suggests that connections are expecting a big run, and given that she has her optimum conditions I think she is terrific each-way value at the odds on offer.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Steller Express (10/1 Boylesports, Hills – BOG)
