Arsenal are 3/10 shots to beat Leeds in their FA Cup third round clash at the Emirates tonight (7.45pm KO, Live on ESPN) and Thierry Henry looks a tasty bet at 9/2 to fire them into the next round.

Henry completed his return to the club on Friday when he signed a short-term loan deal from the Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls.

The move to bring back the 34-year-old former France international, who left the Gunners for Barcelona in 2007, had long been expected and he looks value at 9/2 with Betfred to make a dream start and net the opening goal given that he has scored 11 goals in 11 games against Leeds in all competitions – including four in his last appearance against them at Highbury.

You can also get 5/4 with Betfred about him scoring anytime, and that looks an outstanding price if Arsene Wenger decides to give him a start.

Whether he plays or not (I think he will) Arsenal should beat the Yorkshire outfit with a bit to spare if the stats are anything to go by.

The Gunners have made it past this round in each of the last 15 seasons and have also lost only one of their last 35 FA Cup games at home under Wenger.

It really should be a case of how many they put past Leeds, who have only won one of their last 13 FA Cup matches against top-flight opponents.

I fancy Arsenal to win this 3-0, which is an 8/1 shot with Coral, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power.
