Grand Facile shaped well last time out and looks decent value at 9/2 to open his account in the 3.30 at Lingfield today now stepped up in trip.
Gar Moore’s charge was well beaten in his first four starts but put in a much improved effort in the first time visor when fourth of nine to Street Art over 1m 4f at Kempton last month off a mark of 53.
After tracking the leaders, Grand Facile was unable to quicken inside the final furlong to be beaten 3 1/4 lengths.
It was an effort which suggested he may well have more to offer and the step up to 1m 7f looks sure to suit.
The handicapper has also dropped him 2lb since that effort, and Grand Facile should now be spot on to do himself justice on his third start back from a break.
