Fifty Shades makes plenty of appeal at Market Rasen

Having been dropped a few pounds ion the weights, Fifty Shades looks worth a wager at 8/1 in the 4.00 at Market Rasen today.
This Christian Williams trained six-year-old has not been at his best in his last two starts but prior to that had gone down all guns blazing in a competitive 19-runner class 3 affair at Cheltenham.
After racing at the rear, the grey gelding began to make stealthy headway on the inside four from home. Fifty Shades was in third place and closing approaching the last, and then stayed on strongly on the run-in to be beaten just 3/4 of a length by Sam Red in a driving finish off a mark of 102.
It was a career-best effort and the front two pulled nicely clear of the third home Presenting Julio.
That gives the form a decent look in relation to this weaker class 4 and Fifty Shades is able to race off it off the same mark of 102 having been eased 3lb since his last outing.
He also has a 40 per cent strike rate in the grade (two wins from five runs) and a repeat of his Cheltenham would make him tough to beat in this, so if bouncing back he looks weighted to run a big race.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Fifty Shades (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
