Forceful Appeal was a progressive sort on the all-weather earlier in the year and is of major interest at 6/1 now returned to the polytrack surface in the 2.20 at Lingfield.
The French import finished a fine second at the track on his first start for Simon Dow before rattling up a hat-trick at the venue.
He made virtually all to easily beat Henry Clay bt 2 lengths off a mark of 79 on the first occasion over today’s trip, before winning two contests over a mile off 79 and 83.
On each occasion he showed good early speed, and the newly-laid track seems to be favouring those that race up with the pace.
The four-year-old went on to be beaten just over a length when finishing fourth of 14 at Kempton on his bid for a four-timer, and has since had three runs on the turf.
Although he has failed to trouble the judge in those runs, he has performed with credit – most notably when a decent 6th of 13 to Fulbright at Newmarket off a rating of 88.
The son of Successful Appeal now gets into this off 86, and is just 3lb higher than when last successful.
That gives him a every chance at the weights, especially now that he is back on the polytrack.
His record at Lingfield reads 2-1-1-1, and this looks a good opportunity for him to get back on the winning trail.
