Forth Worth a wager at 15/2

Fort Worth will appreciate the better ground at Doncaster today and makes plenty of appeal at 15/2 in the handicap hurdle (3.00).

Jojno O’Neill’s chrage won his sole start in a bumper in good style and looked a smart prospect when showing a good turn of foot to make a winning debut over hurdles at Wetherby.

Things didn’t go to plan in his next three starts, when he fell twice, but Fort Worth showed that he remained a horse with plenty of potential when a cracking second of 11 to Leave It At Dawn at Cheltenham on seasonal reappearance off a mark of 125.

Aftre being held-up in the rear, the seven-year-old made stealthy headway and despite a mistake at the second laast held every chance apporaching the final flight.

Forth Worth then stayed on well on the flat until being unable to find an extra in the final 100 yards.

Although unmable yo build on that when just seventh of nine at Aintree next time up, Fort Worth seemed to get stuck in the mud.

Connections have presumably waited for better ground to make his return to action, and it would be no suprise to see him bounce back now returned to a better surface.

A mark of 129 should not be beyond him judged on his Cheltenham Run, and with Paddy Brennan in the saddle everything looks in plavce for a big run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Forth Worth (15/2 Stan James – BOG)
