Fossa weighted to strike at Wolves

Fossa has been given a chance by the handicapper and looks worth siding with at 7/1 in the 5.15 at Wolverhampton this evening.

Dean Ivory’s gelding is on a loing losing run having not scored since landing a 7f handciap at this venue on the old polytrack surface back in September 2013 off a mark of 67.

However he has run well to make the frame on two occasions this year, finishing a 1/4 length second of 11 to Baltic Prince at Kempton off 65 and a solid third to the thriving French Press at Chelmsford two starts back off 63.

He is now able to race in this off 59, 8lb lower than when last successful, and the lowest rating he has run off in 2 1/2 years having been rated as high as 73 in that period.

It gives Fossa a big chance at the weights and with Paul Booth in the saddle taking off another 5lb with his claim, Fossa is too well-treated to ignore in this line-uo on the pick of his form.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Fossa (7/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
