Tickets for the hotly awaited rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves went on sale today and 60,000 sold out in just over an hour. Making this the fastest selling fight ticket in Britain. As the pair met face to face for the first time since their epic first battle in Manchester last November tickets went on sale and the pair wasted little time getting into action with Froch pushing his opponent at their touchline photo op.
Prior to this we had a rather gentlemenly press conference hosted by promoted Eddie Hearn in which both guys vowed to be the victor come May 31.
Groves was the first to speak telling media “He [Froch] is having to fight a fight he dosen’t want and in my home city, things can’t get better for me.”
Froch told DAILY SPORT Boxing”I’ve missed training since my last fight and have never felt more mentally and physically focused since the Lician Bute fight, so George Groves is going to have problems come May 31.”
The fight will be screened LIVE and EXCLUSIVELY on SKY Box Office so if you were not lucky enough to get tickets, pull up an armchair and get ready to watch Britsh boxing history in the making.
