Gaitway looks to have got in lighlty in the 1.50 at Sandown today and makes plenty of appeal at 9/1.

Nicky Henderson’s the seven-year-old looked a top notch readily beating Tea For Two by a length in an 18-runner bumper on debut at Newbury back in 2014.

Gaitway travelled ominously well throughout and only had to be shaken-up to get the job done. The front two pulled 34 lengths clear of the third and the runner-up is now rated 140 over hurdles and 158 over fences.

He then got tuned over at oods-on when runner-up on hurdling debut at Sandown and was subsequently off the track for 762 days.

However, after finishing a promising sixth at Cheltenham back in December he showed that he retained plenty of ability when beating Touch Kick by 2 1/2 lengths at Musselburgh last month.

Gaitway has been allotted an opening mark of 126 on the back of that victory and judged on his bumper win that looks extremely exploitable.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Gaitway (9/1 bet365, BetVictor, Stan James – BOG)
