It’s All A Game is back down to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 7/2 in the opener at Southwell today (12.30).

Richard Guest’s gelding has just one win to his name, with that success coming in a 6f nursery at Hamilton last August where he made virtually all and ran on strongly to easily beat Bandolier by 3 1/4 lengths off a mark of 48.

He has been kept busy since that success, and although he has failed to get his head in front he has run well on several occasions to be placed.

Included in those efforts was a solid third of 8 to Mornin Mr Morris over today’s course and distnace where he stayed on strongly to be beaten 3/4 of a length off 57.

He now gets into this off 8lb lower, and is just 1lb above his last winning mark.

That gives him every chance from a handicapping perspective in what looks a weak class 6 contest, especially with the useful Billy Cray in the saddle taking another 3lb off his back.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win It’s All A Game (7/2 bet365, Hills, Paddy Power, Stan James – BOG)
