Garynella is a fascinating contender in the 1.20 at Cheltenham today and is strongly fancied at 100/30 to make a winning debut for the David Pipe yard.
The gelding was a useful hurdler in France, winning a listed event at Enghien in April 2011 on bottomless ground.
He went on to finish third to Pacha Du Polder at the same venue when attempting to give the winner 8lb, and that one has developed into a useful chaser for Paul Nicholls who is officially rated 148.
The selection then finished second in his first five starts over fences before opening his account at Nantes in testing conditions when last seen in action back in April.
Since then he has joined Pipe and the five-year-old gets into this off an opening handicap mark of just 132.
That makes him look potentially very leniently treated in my eyes judged on his hurdling form, and his handler looks sure to bring about further improvement in him.
The five-year-old gets into this off a featherweight of just 10st, and looks the type that the stable can go to war with in handicaps.
The testing conditions will certainly be right up his street, and I have a feeling that he could be well ahead of the assessor given the bullish vibes coming out of the stable.
Daily Sport reciommended bet: 4pts win Garynella (100/30 Hills – BOG)
