Fazza has a good record at Pontefract and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 6.30 this evening now dropped down in class from what looks a workable mark.
Edwin Tuer’s gelding has won two of his three starts over course and distance, and finished third on the other occasion.
Both those successes came last season, and on the final occasion he stayed on strongly in the hnads of Kevin Stott to beat Ralphy Boy with more in hand than the winning margin of 1 3/4 lengths suggests off a mark of 72 in a class 4 contest.
He now gets into this lower grade class 5 affair off just 3lb higher, having shaped nicely in two runs this season without troubling the judge.
In the first of those, Fazaa kept on from off the pace to finish a never nearer fourth of 16 to Kiwi Bay in a class 4 contest at Redcar off 77.
He could then never gets on terms when slowly away before staying on late to finish a 5 1/4 length 8th of 11 to Trail Blaze in a class 3 contest at Ripon last time out off the same mark, but showed enough to suggest he was coming to hand.
The son of Sulamani should now be spot on to do himself justice, and will definitely find this grade to his liking after being dropped 2lb.
He also handles all types of going and has the services of Stott in the saddle again who claims an invaluable 5lb.
Everything looks in place for a huge run, and he looks good value to provide the Ontoawinner syndicate with another success..
