Giveitachance is back down below his last winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 6/1 in the 3.50 at Taunton having signalled that his time was near when third last time out.
Claire Dyson’s charge was last successful at Huntingdon 13 months ago when scoring by 1 3/4 lengths off a mark of 100.
He ran well on seasonal reapperance when trying to win that race for a third consecutive time but has since disappointed when a well beaten eighth at Newcastle.
However, having quickly been dropped 6lb to a mark of 99 he quickly bounced back when stating on strongly having lost his place and also made a bad mistake two from home to finish a never nearer 2 1/4 length third of 18 to Amantius at Wincanton last week.
He is able to race in this off an unchanged mark, his lowest in two years, and the nine-year-old also has a 50% strike rate in the grade having won three of his six starts in class 5 company.
It makes him the one to beat if building on his latest effort and the booking of Aidan Coleman to do the steering is a positive one.
