GLORY IN GIZA is on May 23 Usyk v Rico

Yesterday in London’s Canary Wharf the stage was set for what promises to be an EPIC night of boxing which has never been seen before when unified heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk takes on former kickboxing champion Rico Verhoeven with the ancient pyramids of GIZA as a backdrop.

 

Former KICK BOXING KING and challenger Rico Verhoeven said ”This is a great opportunity and my chance to change the world and rewrite history on May 23” adding “I’ve fought the best at kick boxing for over a decade, of course I’m ready.”

Oleksandr Usyk said “Rico is DANGEROUS but size doesn’t matter or worry me.”

Ring magazine CEO Rick Reno told DAILY SPORT Boxing “This fight is KING v KING and will be a great spectacle in GIZA.”

The entire show ill be broadcast LIVE around the world on DAZN and the undercard is already hotting up featuring Hamzah Sheeraz 22-0-1 versus Alem Begic 29-0-1 in a clash of unbeaten fighters for the vacant WBO world super-middleweight title,British welterweight Jack Catterall 32-2-0 takes on undefeated Uzbek Shakhram Giyasov 17-0-0 for the WBA Regular world title and Cuban contender Frank Sanchez 25-1-0 gets it on with unbeaten Olympic silver medallist Richard Torrez Jr. 14-0-0 defending his WBC Americas and WBO NABO titles.
