Go to war with 5/1 Rambo

Rambo Will is potentially very well-treated in the 5.10 at Yarmouth and makes plenty of appeal at 5/1.

John Jenkins’ gelding has not won since scoring over 6f at Folkestone back in July 2011 where he beat Piccoluck easing down by 1 3/4 lengths off a mark of 65.

However he ran a number of solid races last year off higher marks, most notably when runner-up to Rylee Mooch at Leicester off 71 and when beaten just a head by Rash Judgement at Lingfield off 72.

He also finished a good third to Drawnfromthepast at Folkestone off 74 and now gets into this contest off just 59.

That is a career-low mark for the five-year-old and gives him a massive chance at the weights in what looks a poor contest lacking any real strenth in depth.

It’s fair to say that he was not at his best last time out on the all-weather at Southwell, but prior to that he had run well at the same venue when runner-up to Fairy Wing, and it could well be that the switch back to the turf will see him in a far better light.

There is little doubt that he is now simply too well-treated to ignore on the pick of his efforts last season, and with Hayley Turner in the saddle this looks a good opportunity for him to score an overdue success.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Rambo Will (5/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
