Goodwin’s to stage 2 York Hall shows

Father and daughter boxing promotions team Steve [Goodwin Promotions] and Olivia [Goodwin Main Events] are to stage 2 major Saturday night shows at London’s famous

York Hall before then end of the current boxing season.

The first bill promoted by Steve takes place on June 29 and features PRIZEFIGHTER cruiserweights III finalist Hari ‘H-Bomb’ Miles defending his British Masters belt against

Goodwin cruiserweight ‘The Emperor’ Menay Edwards.

Edwards told DAILY SPORT Boxing ”H Bomb is one bomb that never detonates. He can’t punch, has a big mouth and I will shut him up once and for all on 29 June. He needs to go back to being a journeyman. That’s his level!”

The bill has a stacked under card with 13 fight on the bill in total.

2 weeks later on July 13 Olivia in association with Streetwise Promotions from Ghana promotes ‘Saturday Night Fever’ featuring unbeaten IBF African champ Richard Commey 15-0 [All by stoppage] taking on former Commonwealth featherweight champ Paul Truscott in a final eliminator for the commonwealth lightweight crown which is being contested the same night by Derry Matthews and Tommy Coyle on Eddie Hearn’s Hull show.

Commey told DAILY SPORT Boxing “I have total respect for Truscott but the one I want is Derry Mathews. His manager said I was not good on Twitter and I want to show him by beating his boy. First however I have to fight Paul who is a quality fighter and I am looking forward to the challenge.”

Chief support will feature heavyweights Ian Lewison and Colin Kenna for the British Masters belt.
