Gregarious weighted to collect at Carlisle

Gregarious is back down below his last winning mark and is strongly fancied at 2/1 to get back to winning ways in the 4.15 at Carlisle today now dropped back in grade. This  Lucy Wadham trained gelding won twice at Sandown as a four-year-old, showing a game attitude in the last of those to beat Deauville Crystal by 1/2 a length on soft ground off a rating of 113. Following an unfruitful spell over fences he then got back to winning ways when switched back to hurdles and landing a nine-runner contest at Towcester back in by a nose off 115. The six-year-old was then far from disgraced in his next two starts off 116 when third and fourth respectively and is now able to race off 112. It gives him every chance at the weights is bouncing back from three below par efforts this season and he now drops back down into class 4 company having never got competitive last time out when 13th of 20 to Totterdown in a decent class 3 at Sandown or when heavily-backed and sent off favourite in a class 3 last time out at Lingfield. . The yard is also operating at a strike rate of 22 per cent in the last 14 days and Maxime Tissier, who partnered Gregarious to his last success takes off a handy 5lb.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Gregarious (2/1 bet365, William Hill – BOG)
