George Groves will be back in action at Wembley Arena on September 20 when he faces European super-middleweight champion Christopher Rebrasse in a final eliminator for the WBC super-middleweight world title his promoters Sauerland announced today at a packed Wembley press conference.
The show which will be Team Sauerland’s first UK show is set to put Groves back on track and into the world mix onec again following his loss to Carl Froch at Wembley stadium on May 31.
Groves told DAILY SPORT Boxing”I’m glad to be back and can’t wait to get this fight over and get my hands on a world title.”
Rebrasse told DAILY SPORT Boxing”A ring is a ring and it dosen’t matter to me if it’s in France or England as long as I get the job done.”
The winner is set for a WBC world title shot against the winner of Sakio Bika and Andre Dirrell.
