Today we joined the George Groves training camp at The Hayemaker Gym in London. George the Super-Middleweight British and Commonwealth Champ looked 110% super fit and relaxed as he trained and did some pad work with trainer/manager Adam Booth.
George talking to Daily Sport said”My training has gone great, I’ve had a good long camp and my fitness and weight are spot on” When asked if he was looking forward to Saturday night now, George replied “I can’t wait I realise now as the fight drwas closer how much I love boxing” he added”I keep getting phone calls from friends and fans wanting tickets they all want to talking to me and wish me luck”.
Daily Sport asked George what next after Paul Smith on Saturday to which George replied”I take every fight as it comes I don’t like to look ahead, I just want to concentrate on Smith and see from there” George added”I just want challenging fights I don’t mind if their for titles or not, as long as I learn and progress my career, I don’t want to be fast tracked to a world title and come un-stuck, I’ll know when I’m ready”
