Hammersmith Super-Middleweight George Groves is set to face former IBF Light-Heavyweight champ Glen Johnson promoter Frank Warren announced today. 24 yo Groves who is 15-0 will take on the season pro in only his second fight of the year due to injury. But the Commonwealth Super-Middleweight champ told DAILY SPORT “Johnson is a great name and it will be a fantastic fight to end the year with before looking at a world title shot next year”
Whilst a step up in class for Groves he should be the 43 yo who has lost 4 of his last 5 outings but his rough tough style shouldn’t be under estimated.
