Hanagan can steer Bouggatti to victory

Bouggatti makes plenty of appeal at 9/1 in the finale at Sandown (9.00) on his first start for Lady Herries.

The gelding was a consistent sort last season when trained by William Jarvis, and broke his duck when getting up on the line to beat Unknown Rebel by a short-head at Beverley in Apriloff a mark of 65.

He went on to run some solid races at the back end of the campaign when coming placed off marks of 66 and 68, and although he was not at his best when last seen in action at Pontefract in October his win did come after a lay off of 188 days.

That suggests that fitness is unlikely to be an issue, and he is certainly on a comptitive mark off 67 for his return to action.

There is also every chance that his new stable will be able to squeeze out a bit of improvement in him, and the booking of Paul Hangan certainly catches the eye.

Another plus is that he handles all types of going, and fvrom the foot of the weights he looks to have plenty in his favour.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Bouggatti (9/1 bet365, Hills – BOG)
