Heavyweight hard man Paul Butlin reckons Anthony Joshua will regret picking a fight with him

Butlin says he has spotted flaws in the Olympic champion’s technique and will expose them when they clash in Sheffield on Saturday (OCTOBER 26).
“I thought he was lucky to win the Olympics – he definitely lost his first fight – and from what I saw the other night, he’s stiff, flat footed and carries his hands too low,” said the 37 year-old.
“He can obviously bang, but we will see what happens when I put it on him.”
Butlin, who turned down the chance to box Joshua on his debut earlier this month because he was getting married, has done most of the fighting in his 11-year career on the right-hand side of the bill.
The record shows matches, many taken at short notice, against Derck Chisora (twice), Johnathon Banks, Albert Sosnowski and more.
Promoter Eddie Hearn obviously plans a very different route for Joshua.
“Joshua doesn’t have to work, he can just train all day every day,” said Butlin. “I get up for a run at five o’clock every morning, take the kids to school, then go to work.
“I have it a lot harder than he does.
“I’ve fought away from home at just a day or two’s notice and he gets his opponents picked for him.
“But they’ve made a mistake picking me . . . “
