Reginaldinho ready to score
Reginaldinho has been shaping as if ready to strike and makes plenty of appeal at 5/1 in the 2.10 at Hereford.
Venetia William’s’ gelding had some pretty decent form in novice events last season, and ran his best race when chasing home Royal Riviera at this track when rated 111.
Although disappointing on his seasonal reappearance at Kempton the five-year-old stepped up significantly on that effort when running far better than his finishing position suggests when fourth of 7 to What An Oscar here last time out.
He travelled strongly for much of the contest before weakening two from home, and that run suggested that there was still improvement left in the locker.
The handicapper has subsequently dropped him a few pounds to a mark of 104, and I am convinced that he has enough ability to win a race of this nature from that rating.
At the odds on offer he looks an each-way steal.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Reginaldinho (5/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
Milo looks magic at 9/2
The ultra progressive Milo Milan is strongly fancied to defy top weight and land the 2.40 at Hereford,
Richard Lee’s charge made steady progress over hurdles last season, and continued on his upward curve over fences when scoring on reappearance at Bangor last month.
He made a few mistakes that day, but easily pulled clear to win easing down by 8 lengths from Mr Syntax.
To me he looked a handicapper to keep on the right side, and although the assessor has whacked him up 10lb for that effort he looks the type who has plenty more to offer.
I don’t think the extra weight will stop him, especially given that he looked as if he would come on a bundle for the run at Bangor.
At 9/2 he rates the best bet on the card.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 4pts win Milo Milan (9/2 Coral)
