Hindsight looks hot at 10s

With Hindsight looks nicely treated on his first start for new connections in the 3.25 at Wolverhampton today and makes plenty of each-way appeal at 10/1.

The gelding finally got off the mark at the 12th attempt when scoring in a maiden here over 1m 1f for Clive Cox last October where he only had to be driven out to beat Double Trouble by two lengths.

Since then he has joined the Michael Scudamore yard, and he starts life off in handicaps for the Hereford handler on a mark of 73 – the same rating as when he won last time out.

Given that he was once rated as high as 80 when placed in a nursery as a juvenile, and was twice placed off marks of 75 and 77 last year that gives him every chance from a handicapping perspective if ready to roll first time up.

He is being upped in trip, which is a slight concern has he has shown a tendency to race keenly in the past, but I am hoping that now that he is a year older he will settle better.

If he does then it could be that he has more to offer now that he has finally got his head in front, and he is certainly handicapped to play a leading role in this with his rider David Kenny taking another 5lb off his back.

At 10/1 he looks overpriced in my eyes and worth an each-way play.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way With Hindsight (10/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
