Humbel Ben looks worth a wager at 9/2 to cash-in on a career-low mark and land the spoils in the 2.05 at Ffos Las today.

Alan Jones gelding was last successful when landing a 2m 4f contest at the track 13 months ago, comning from off the pace to lead at the last and being driven clear to score by 5 lengths off a mark of 96.

He got put up to 104 for that victory and failed to trouble the judged in his next two otuings.

The 12-year-old was then given a break and ran very well to finish runner-up at Newcastle on soft ground off a mark of 97.

Humbel Ben also didn’t run too badly when last seen in action back in September and finishing third off 94, and is now able to race in this off just 91.

That makes him dangerously well-treated on the pick of his form, and with ground conditions not a problem this weak looking class 4 contest looks a nice opportunity for him to get back on the winning trail.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Humble Ben (9/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
