Paul Hyland Jr took just 4 rounds to stop David Birmigham at Belfast’s Europa Hotel on Saturday night, local favourite Hyland was on top through out when the ref called a halt after his corner threw in the towel 51 seconds into the round.
Dublin Welter Jay Byrne put on a great performance to beat Belfast’s James Gorman 40-36 over 4 rounds.
Cork based Slovak Vladimir Beljusky stopped Brighton’s Iain Jackson in the 1st round of their scheduled 4 rounder at super-middle, with the time keeper recording at stoppage at 1.38 of the round after Jackson had alreay been down in the opening seconds of the round.
