Edinburgh’s Stephen Simmons the unbeaten Cruiserweight and Dehli Commonwealth Games Bronze Medalist has he third pro fight this Friday on the undercard of Anthony Crolla’s British Lightweight title defence against Scotland’s Willie Limond. Simmons’ buoyed by the recent success of fellow Scot and stablemate Ricky Burns over Michael Katsidis to capture the WBO Interim Lightweight title says he’s wants to be Scotland’s next work champ.
Simmons said”Hopefully everything goes to plan on Friday night,” he continued. “I could see myself having another fight in December, get on a card somewhere if they can squeeze me in.” he added “I don’t think I’ll be far away from fighting for the British title after watching the fight between Leon Williams and Rob Norton a couple of weeks ago.”
