Revenge looks the answer to the 2.20 at Ripon today now stepped back up in trip.

Tim Easterby’s charge scored with real authority at Wolverhampton two starts back over 6f when shpowing plenty of pace and keeping on strongly to score cosily by 2 lengths off a mark of 52.

He then got turned over at the same venue when turned out quickly under a 6lb penalty, but that was over 5f and he was far from disgarced in finishing a 2 1/2 length fifth of 10.

The step back up to 6f looks sure to suit and although now having to race off a revised rating of 59, Revenge should be capable of winning a race of this nature off it judged on the manner of his victory at Wolves.

He has also bagged a good draw in stall 15 and has the assistance of Jason Hart in the saddle who is riding at the top of his game at present.

So taking eveything into account, Revenge looks to have plenty going for him in what looks a weak class 6 contest lacking any real strength in depth.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Revenge (9/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
