The Copa America sees Japan return to the tournament for the first time in two decades, on Tuesday night.

Japan’s most recent tournament was the 2019 Asian Cup; they won their group and beat Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Iran in the knockout rounds respectively, but were ultimately beaten by Qatar 1-3 in the final. This game will be a different level to that lot, and is likely to prove too much for the Samarai Blue as they are known.

The Japs are @7/1, Chile are @9/20 and it’s @16/5 the draw.

Chile have won each of the last two Copa America tournaments (2015 and 2016) – if they win on this occasion, they will be just the second team to win three in a row, after Argentina in 1945, 1946 and 1947.

The Daily Sport bet of the day is Chile to win 0-1 @9/2.
