Joe Farrell looks on a poetnially handy makr on handicap dbeut in the 4.10 at Ascot and makes plenty of appeal at 14/1.
Rebecca Curtis’ charge was a dual bumper winner and also ran well in that spehre when a 2 1/2 length second of 10 to the very smart 146-rated hurdler Barters Hill.
There was also lots to like about the selections’ winning dbeut over hurdles at Ffos Las back in November where despite a mistake at the last he ran on strongly to beat Keeper Hill by 5 lengths.
The-runner up is unbeaten in three subsequent starts, including when winning a Listed contest last time out at Huntingdon, and is now rated 139.
That gives the form a solid look, especially as the pair had the 13-runner field well strung out, and suggests an opening mark of 125 may well be on the lenient side for Joe Farrell.
Although the eight-year-old has not been at his best in two subsequent outings he has been given a break to freshen-up and remains with plenty of potential.
On his bumper run behind Barters Hill and defeat of Keeper Hill he looks potentially thrown-in at the weights and capable of running a huge race.
