Joey’s Destiny shaped well last time out after not getting much luck early doors and looks worth a punt in the 5.15 at Wolverhampton today.

The eight-year-old was last successful over course and distance back in May 2017 when trained by Anthony Brittain and scoring by 1 1/2 lengths off a mark of 81.

He failed to shine in his first four starts after joining Kevin Frosi but then put in a mcuh improved effort over course and distance three starts back when slowly away before staying on well to finish a 3 1/4 length runner-up to the well-treated Dark Alliance, who has gone in again since, off 65.

Joey’s Destiny failed to build on that last time out when only fifth on the fibresand at Southwell but shoed that running to be all wrong when returned to the Tapeta here last time out when a 3/4 length running on third having been badly hampered at the start.

He looked a slightly unlucky loser and off an unchanged makr of 64 he looks weighted to gain compensation granted better luck in-running.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Joey’s Destiny (5/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
