WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua retained his belts last night after stopping game Russsian challenger Alexander Povetkin in the 7th round of their TEAR UP at Wembley Stadium last night.
Joshua having got caught with shots by Povetkin at the end of the 1st started the 2nd with a bloody nose and for the next 6 round it could have been anyones fight, but in the 7th Joshua stepped on the gas and floored Povetkin with a right left combination.
So with Wembley pre-booked for April 13 next year who willl Joshua fight next?
A fight with WBC champ American Deontay Wilder look about the only credible option should Willder be victorious in his defence against Tyson Fury on December 1.
