Juvenal gets fitted with the cheek-pieces for the first time in the 8.40 at Windsor and is of major interest at 8/1.
Richard Hannon’s colt has yet to win in seven starts, but he has been placed on five occasions and has some solid form to his name.
He finished an excellent third of 14 to the classy Bonfire in a maiden at Salisbury which has thrown up subsequent winners, and caught the eye on his handicap debut last time out over course and distance in a class 3 contest.
The son of Holy Roman Emperor kept on at the one pace from off the pace to finish a never nearer 5th of 12 to Asatir (beaten just over 4 lengths) and has since been dropped 2lb to a mark of 74.
He now also takes a drop in grade into class 5 company, and that gives him a great chance of breaking his duck if the headgear does the trick.
With his stable in good form and the on-fire Richard Hughes in the saddle a huge run looks on the cards, and at 8/1 he looks cracking each-way value.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Juvenal (8/1 Paddy Power – BOG)
