Trainer Venetia Williams does well with her runners at Carlisle, so having posted an improved effort last time out her Jurys Out looks worth siding with at 100/30 in the 2.20 there today. This six-year-old had offered little in his first four starts but there was much more to like about his fifth of 16 to Uno Mas at Hereford back in January. After being held-up towards the rear, Jurys Out made good headway two from home and kept in nicely under tender handling to be nearest at the finish an beaten eight lengths off a mark of 96. The winner, to whom he was conceding 2lb, has come out and won twice since before finishing a solid second off a rating of 114. Arqalina, a stable companion of the selection, has also gone on to taste success so that gives the form a solid look in relation to this class 5 contest. Having since been dropped 1lb, Jurys Out is able to race off a mark of 95 and that looks more than exploitable if building on that run. Williams also has an overall strike rate of 26 per cent at the venue and 50 per cent in the last 12 months (two winners from four runners).
