Kassis can collect at Chepstow

Kassis put in a much improved effort last time out and makes plenty of appeal at 9/2 in the 3.05 at Chepstow today.

The mare shaped with promise in two quiet runs over hurdles in France and ran well on debut for trainer Jamie Snowden when fourth of 12 to Bidourey at Leicester.

The six-year-old was allotted an opening mark of 99 on the back of that effort, but disappointed on handicap debut when never travelling well and pulled-up at Exeter.

However, there was much more to like about Kassis’s effort last time out at Plumpton over 2m 2f when third to Abundantly and beaten just 1 3/4 lengths.

She raced with far more zest than at Exeter and pressed the winner throughout, holding every chance two from home until being unable to find any extra in the final 150 yards and losing out on second close home.

Kassis now meets the winner on 2lb better terms, and the drop back in trip to an extenxed 2m looks sure to suit.

Sje also rem, ains umnexposed, and if she can build on that effort her current mark of 96 looks exploitable.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Kassis (9/2 bet365 – BOG)
