EXCLUSIVE: Kid Galahad says he wants his own Mission Impossible

The super-bantamweight slickster fights on the undercard when Kell Brook challenges Gennady Golovkin for his world middleweight championships at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night.

The bookies don’t give Brook much chance of beating Golovkin – and Galahad says he’s chasing a fight with another pound-for-pound star.

Galahad, the former British, Commonwealth and European super-bantamweight champion back this year after serving a ban, says he wants a shot at Guillermo Rigondeaux.

British fans saw the brilliant Cuban defend his world titles against Jazza Dickens in Cardiff earlier this year – and Galahad hopes to get his shot soon.

The 26 year old said: “I would love to fight him.

“He’s very, very good, but if anyone’s going to beat him, it’s going to be someone with a high IQ – and that’s me.

“It won’t be someone like Scott Quigg. You have to be a chess master to beat Rigondeaux. If you go at him and make mistakes he will destroy you.”

Golovkin-Brook is live on Sky Sports Box Office on Saturday night
