Kikos ready to rule at his beloved Uttoxeter

Renee Robeson does well with her runners at Uttoxeter and her Kikos is strongly fancied at 5/1 to maintain his unbeaten record over course and distance in the 5.10.

The gelding is 2 from 2 over 2miles at the Midlands venue, and looks nicely treated on a mark of 115.

He is just 4lb higher than when battling on bravely to beat Red Jester by 1/2 a length at Towcester back in April last year and went on to be beaten just a nose at Market Rasen off 122.

The 10-year-old also shaped really well after a lay-off when runner-up to Baseball ted off today’ mark at Kempton back in April and followed up with a decent effort over hurdles last time out behind Beggars velvet.

That run should have put him spot on for this, and there is every chance that he could get his own way up front this afternoon.

He is at his best when forcing the pace, if allowed to dominate I think he will be extremely hard to peg back.

His handler also has a very good strike rate at the track, and everything looks in place for a huge run.

At 5/1 he rates the best bet on the card.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Kikos (5/1 BetVictor, Paddy Power – BOG)
