King’s Song handicapped to strike

King’s Song posted a solid effort when runner-up last time out and looks decent value at 8/1 in the 2.10 at Uttoxeter today.

David Dennis’ charge kept on strongly to be beaten 1 3/4 lengths by Caspian Piper in a handicap chase at Worcester off a mark of 95 and now reverts to hurdles off 8lb lower.

His current mark of 87 is 6lb lower than when regsitering his last success over the smaller obstacles at Worcester 12 months ago and 8lb lower than when scoring over fences at Ludlow back in November.

It makes the six-year-old potentially very well-treated and he is now reunited with Brian Hughes who partnered him to his last success and is 1-1 on him.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way King’s Song (8/1 generally available – use BOg firms)
