I Know The Code is on a handy mark in the 1.15 at Towcester today and makes plenty of appeal at 11/2 to open his account over fences.

Lynn Siddall’s gelding won in the mud over hurdles at Uttoxeter back in February 2013 off a mark of 95 and shaped with plenty of promise on chasing debut at this venue back in February whehn staying on to finish a 20 length third to the progressive Nail’m off 89.

He then disappointed when pulled up at the track 18 days later, before bouncing back and running a solid race to finish a three length third of 10 to Baileys Concert on on soft ground at Hexham over 2m 5f when last seen in action back in March.

The nine-year-old led over the last in the latter until being headed towards the finish and being unable to find any extra close home, and the drop back to 2m 4f should suit.

He is able to race in this off the same mark of 80, and considering he won a hurdle contest off 95 and was rated as high as 103 over the smaller obstacles that looks very exploitable.

I Know The Code also remains open to progress over fences after just three starts over them, and with the ground fine can make the most of the 12lb he receives from the favourite Le Grand Chene to make a winning seasonal reappearance.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win I Know The Code (11/2 Sky Bet – BOG)
