Lachie has a Big chance at Bath

Now back down to his last winning mark, Big Lachie looks worth a wager at 15/2 in the 3.55 at Bath today.

This Mark Loughnane trained five-year-old was last successful here back in
June when coming with a string late run from off the pace to win going away by a length from Edged Out in a 15-runenr affair off a rating of 71.

He backed that up with a solid secondat Brighton under a 5lb penalty (76) and also ran well when runner-up here next time up off 75 in a three-runner contest which didn’t play to his strengths.

Big Lachie has also been far from disgraced in three subsequent starts and is now able to race off 71 again.

This big field scenario in which a strong gallop looks assured is sure to suit and the booking of Richard Kingscote to do the steering for the first time also catches the eye.

Big Lachie has also won twive and been placed on two occasions from ninestarts at the venue, so looks weighted to make a bold bid to bag an 11tth career success.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Big Lachie (15/2 Betfair, Paddy Power – BOG, paying 4 places)
